Each of the following is a Haiku unto itself.
To my yesterday
You will never be today
So why do you try?
How I do love thee
My beautiful sycamore
I can count on you
Six years seems longer
When words have not been exchanged
Know that I love you
In the morning sun
the trees cast oblong shadows
on the path I walk.
She hates poetry.
with those words, my soul is crushed
We are Friends no More.
(this one is about my best friend who told me she hated poetry, so I wrote her a poem about it)

Truest Fear
Pounding footsteps
Heavy breathing
You are right here with me after all
I have not lost you
Though I fear I will soon lose myself
To the blade you so lovingly caress
Around the corner
Up the stairs
Through the open door
Into the closet
No, you are there too
Down a floor
In the fireplace now
I can still feel your breath
Never falling a beat behind me
In a corridor
Running for my existence
My fate is made clear to me
I turn to face it
To succumb to the knowledge of death
As my body is bathed in warm liquid
And I feel my life force being spirited away
I chance a look upon a mirror
And with my last breath
Realize
She is me
Heavy breathing
You are right here with me after all
I have not lost you
Though I fear I will soon lose myself
To the blade you so lovingly caress
Around the corner
Up the stairs
Through the open door
Into the closet
No, you are there too
Down a floor
In the fireplace now
I can still feel your breath
Never falling a beat behind me
In a corridor
Running for my existence
My fate is made clear to me
I turn to face it
To succumb to the knowledge of death
As my body is bathed in warm liquid
And I feel my life force being spirited away
I chance a look upon a mirror
And with my last breath
Realize
She is me
Wasted
Wasted and gone when once was enchanted
Nothing left, all has gone bare
What's left of the seed that once was planted
Is withered and left unto despair
Aged with the knowledge held within
Time ticking ever so slowly
Resented for the deeds of men
Seen in the face as lowly
My cry to the living
Always unheard
But gracious and giving
Death delivered
Nothing left, all has gone bare
What's left of the seed that once was planted
Is withered and left unto despair
Aged with the knowledge held within
Time ticking ever so slowly
Resented for the deeds of men
Seen in the face as lowly
My cry to the living
Always unheard
But gracious and giving
Death delivered
Be My Fortress
My tear streaked face
Held tight in your grasp
You gaze at me
With your all knowing eyes
I try to look away
To hide all this pain
Behind the familiar mask
Of a fake smile
But you hold me steady
Despite my shuddering body
From the numerous sobs
Escaping my lips
I am pulled into
Your warm embrace
Safe and sound
With your arms around me
Never let me go
I silently beg
Protect me from
This cruel world
Forever
Held tight in your grasp
You gaze at me
With your all knowing eyes
I try to look away
To hide all this pain
Behind the familiar mask
Of a fake smile
But you hold me steady
Despite my shuddering body
From the numerous sobs
Escaping my lips
I am pulled into
Your warm embrace
Safe and sound
With your arms around me
Never let me go
I silently beg
Protect me from
This cruel world
Forever
