Forever Gone

Pain
indescribable.
Loss
too much.
Truth
hard to say.
Jealousy
cruel.
Hope
forever gone.

Alphabet Poem

Morning comes
Nowhere to be found, is he
Out he went.
Perhaps to walk
Quietly. Among the
Roses, perfect, he holds
Silently a vigil
Till once again the sun comes
Up. When will he
Venture out again?

Name Poem

Centered in
A world of her own
Surrounded by
So many people, yet
Individual unto herself
Dreaming often,
Yearning much for greater things

Her Smile

A smile played gently
Upon her lips
Just ever so slightly
A turning up
In the corners
Of her mouth
Such a lovely smile
Greatly marveled at
By many passersby
The cause
Not publicly known
But a secret
Unto herself
Brought on by
A Friend
Her Family
Or even yet
A boy
This world
Shall never
Know

Existence

Sweet embrace of the numbing flames
Shadows licking the edges of my soul
Sheaths of ignorance hide my shames
Of child like innocence wickedly stole
Heart of glass shattered galore
Gathering army greets the Coming
Enemies unite at the sound of war
Reverberating melodies born of drumming
Long forgotten angers suddenly ignite
Death lurking at every door
Guardians of the world commence to fight
My life as I knew it exists no more

Wake Up

You sleep silently
For now
A look of longing
Upon your face
Or maybe peace
For in the dreams
You are sure to
To be having
You Run
To her
The one who
Wants You
Despite
All the flaws
You
And you alone
See
About yourself
But
We both know
That this is
Just the daydreams
Of someone who knows
that will never be
So why bother
With all these wishes
If they are just that
Why not
Go ahead
And Wake Up?

Haiku

Each of the following is a Haiku unto itself.

To my yesterday
You will never be today
So why do you try?

How I do love thee
My beautiful sycamore
I can count on you

Six years seems longer
When words have not been exchanged
Know that I love you

In the morning sun
the trees cast oblong shadows
on the path I walk.

She hates poetry.
with those words, my soul is crushed
We are Friends no More.
(this one is about my best friend who told me she hated poetry, so I wrote her a poem about it)
